Please can someone help! My pc is just a year old, and Dell tried to help me configure it. I was having error messages so they have been fixed by a dell techie man instructing me what to do, but now I can't use my usb ports for my peripherals, I especially need to be able to plug in my mp3 player and my movement motivation fitbug, because this fitbug helps me get walking my 10,000 steps a day. these seem to have been disabled, also I am suddenly getting lots of spam asking me to invest, today I got 10. so I think my norton anti virus must have been disabled. I would like to configure it myself, but I would need to know in simply language how to do this. I would be so grateful if someone clever could advise me.
THANKYOU! from Charley4

have you been in to devise manager .Control panel.system.hardware,devise manager, have a look to see that your usb are ok and have no yellow ticks next to it .
I would uninstall Norton, after you have downloaded Norton again, but not installed it,then reboot, then install again with modem wire out, then update it when you get back on line.0 -
What was the error message ?
Have you tried doing a system restore to take you back to before all this trouble you have been having ?0 -
Which Dimension do you have ?
Visit this link if you want to download fresh USB drivers, you'll need to pick out your model from the drop down list, or if you have your service tag thebn that can be used.
