I have been to S.A. many times and i tip waitrons 10%, petrol pump att.R3-4 if my w/screen has been cleaned, informal car park att.R3-4 sometimes R5 if I have done a lot of shopping, but on my last trip when I arrived at JNB airport to leave for the UK I arrived at the concourse to check in and a bib wearing porter asked if I wanted help pushing my luggage trolley, I said yes and he took it to the emirates desk about 100 meters I offerd R10 he demanded R50 he was out of luck as that was all i had. My question is what is the going rate for a luggage pushing porter, we are going back soon and i don't want to be mean or ripped off.
