First Direct Query

Hi
I applied for a First Direct bank account + E-saver account yesterday morning, but when I checked my Experian and Equifax report right now, I was surprised to see they had only checked Experian, the first as recorded for Current account, and second unrecorded as Identity Check.
I am confused since the 'Who Uses Who' thread says First Direct checks both. Is this a good sign or bad ?
Any response appreciated.
Thanks.

no it means they could of used one or the other, if the first has negative stuff they may search another.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Ah thanks mate. Set my mind at ease.
Hopefully, I should receive a reply from them in a day or two.0 -
First Direct took a couple of weeks to let me know that I had got an account with them, so don't be surprised if it takes them a couple of weeks.0

Aha, thanks for the info buddy. Hoping it doesn't take that long but if it does, atleast I know there's a precedent0

Within a week of applying online to FD I had starter pack, debit card, PIN and cheque book so I am surprised that it takes as long as you say.0 -

I got an email from them the next morning, then an application form 2 days after the email, and after I posted this back it was around 2 weeks till I heard anything.0

Just received a call from First Direct. A very polite woman on the other end asked me to call back from my work when I go in tomorrow. She said the system would automatically identify the number as my workplace. Sounds great
Also said I will be getting all details after that and they'll be helping me set-up internet banking, mobile banking etc. along with moving direct debits over if I wanted to.
Hopefully, it means I'm approved and I've taken the first step towards what's going to be a long standing relationship with First Direct. (If they really are as good as everyone says)
Please correct me if I'm wrong though...0 -
