Motability car order late...courtesy car?

My motability car was due 2 weeks ago, dealer says its still not even built yet :o i asked on a ford forum and alot of people said they got courtesy cars when their cars where late. but my dealer is refusing, I honestly dont mind wating if i have to but i would just like to know if i am entitled to a courtesy car or not as it would be a big help to me right now.

Do you need any adaptions to your car? Maybe the dealer is refusing to give you a courtesy car because he doesnt have another with the same adaptions?
Did he give you a reason as to why he was refusing?

Ring motability and they will extened the lease on the current car (for 6 months but it really means for upto 6 months) until the new car is ready.

If it's your first Motability car you won't get a courtesy car BUT if you aren't getting a satisfactory explanation from the dealer, ring Motability and ask them for advice. They will speak to the dealer and get a straight answer!
A lot of people ask Motability questions on here and I don't understand why they don't go straight to Motability and ask.I had all sorts of problems over the years due to my late husbands condition changing/worsening and of course eventually dying, and they were never anything but helpful , courteous, knowledgable and kind.
