Theatre voucher advice

I have a friends 30th coming up and thought i'd maybe get her a theatre voucher. Thinking this would be simple there seems to be numerous sites selling vouchers.
She lives in Surrey so would be able to go to London for a show but i want a ticket that could be used in a lot of places.
I guess online voucher would be best as often you need to book so i dont know how using a 'paper' voucher would work.
Any thoughts, or advice from experience?

Valid in pretty much all West End theatres and plenty nationwide - 240 in total. They have a 'scratch - off' panel so you can order on the phone and quote the code under the panel to pay. Any change is given back as vouchers again.

They are also valid at the official London Theatre ticket shack at Leicester Square (TKTS).

Available to buy online, at WHSmiths and now at Costco if you are a member - details are on the website.

I like theatre tokens as they are the most widely accepted. Last time I used them (about a year ago) you couldn't use them on-line, but if you rang the box office, I found that they would give you a reference no, and hold the seats whilst you posted the voucher.
