At the risk of looking like a total ignoramus - how much is a lira worth etc ? is it really good value in Turkey ? really looking forward to it now

Our money is worth MUCH more to them for example.. I bought a gold ring.. if I had paid with Lira would have cost me the equivelant of £200 but I paid with ££ and its cost me £110.. Speak with your travel agent they will advise you andgive you tips.. well worth talking to them.

Has to be Bank Of England note (Im scottish)

LOTS N LOTS N LOTS of fakes.. but we bought loads lol.. you can get really good "fakes" there are no copyright laws or something..

Haggle your heart out MSE style.. never pay what they first ask for.... The markets are excellent.. (where r you going?)

I must say be preoeared to be HARASSED there no other word for it.. the follow you, shout at you, pester you to come in their shops.. and once your in it murder to tet bk out.. just be FIRM.. not rude or cheeky jst a FIRM no thank you.. if they dnt take NO for an answer walk away.

If you go for a Shave.. these can be great.. but on occasions they do more than a shave without asking.. then charge you for it LoL.. its a bit daunting dealing with it all at first.. but after 1/2 days you get used to it!
