still waiting

Hi All
I made a claim for PPI in August 2009 through a company. The bank rejected my claim so it went to the FOS. We received a letter in October last year saying that we has won and would receive an offer from the bank.
I know that the banks took the matter to court and the court ruled against them and that we should have been redressed in August.
We are still waiting for an offer from the bank. Does anyone have any idea when this might happen.
Just want our money back and for it to be over and done with. Totally sick of waiting!!!!
Any advice anyone:mad:

    Hiya,

Im in a similar position and it is very frustrating! My original claim began in August last year and eventually ended up with the FOS until now.

Ive been told by the FOS that HSBC are upholding the claim (which is good news) but Im now waiting for my letter of offer to come through from the bank.

You should have received an initial letter from the FOS advising you that your bank are upholding the offer and if you do not contest this within 14 days then the bank will be advised that you are happy to move forward and an offer letter will be sent out.

This is where I am currently sitting in the process. I phoned HSBC today for a progress report and they have told me that they received the confirmation through from the FOS and that they have 8 weeks to calculate the offer and send out the letter - so now Im 2 weeks in to another potential 8 week wait - annoying but will hopefully get there in the end!

  • Hi
Sorry not been on here for ages.
It is the Clydesdale Bank we are with. We are still waiting for an offer from them. I phoned our claims handling firm today and they advised me that they have contacted the FOS today with regards to our offer. It has been 26 months since I started our claim and it has been a year since we received confirmation that the bank agreed to settle our claim. Seriously frustrated about this now. Really want this over and done with and our money in the bank.
