Computer is a bit slow, but thats all. Don't seem to have lost anything, except i can't seem to install a printer. I'm wondering if this is connected.

Sounds like you uninstalled that company's software, which then added itself to your task scheduler.
This is from their website:How do I remove the uus.dll error?
If you receive an error message which mentions the “UUS.dll” this file is associated with the ParetoLogic Updater service. This error may occur on startup and even after you uninstall our software. We are currently aware of the issue and our QA team is working on a solution. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.
In some cases, after the ParetoLogic software has been uninstalled the updater service is added to the Windows scheduled tasks.
Please remove the Updater from Scheduled tasks:
Please click Start, then All Programs.
Now go into Accessories and then select System Tools followed by Scheduled Tasks.
Please search the list of Windows Scheduled Tasks entries, and remove any associated with Pareto Update or ParetoLogic Registration.
Right-click these items and select Delete to remove them. This should resolve the issue.
Please remove the Updater from Task Scheduler (Windows Vista and Windows 7):
Please click Start, then All Programs.
Now go into Accessories and then select System Tools followed by Task Scheduler.
Click on Active Tasks.
Please search the list, and remove any associated with Pareto Update or ParetoLogic Registration.
Double-click on the task and click Delete on the Actions menu (on the right-hand side) under the Selected Item category.0 -
if I remember correctly ParetoLogic are (in)famed for a horrible registry cleaner that often does more harm than good, can't remember the exact name OTTOMH....oh, that's it.... RegCure......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
Yep, RegCure does appear to originate from their stable
Personally, Not come across them before,
their AV sounds like it's of the Fake-alert variety, finding plenty of false positives, lol
this is a review from CNET, there are others similar, lol
some do say it slows their pc
Pros: None. Zero. Zilch!
Cons: This software is a scam! It finds multiple threats and problems that you "then have to pay for the software" before it will clear them. Needless to say none of the threats or problems exist.
Summary: STAY AWAY from this! DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT! DO NOT USE IT!
WHY IS THIS rubbish still offered on Download.com?
