Wondered with all the changes recently to the Bank of scotland, I logged on and was asked if i wanted to apply for the Classic account as a second current account (thought it would be handy for the second visa debit card) so i applied and it came up with a message that, if successful, i would receive the card within 7 days.
That was yesterday, now today i log on and there's the Classic account under my list of accounts, with a sort code, account number and the option for dds and SOs
My question is this, does this mean it was accepted (to be honest, with my credit, i would have thought it would have been rejected).
I know it sounds obvious, but it seems really quick to have it up and running, this was only last night
any feedback?

so out of interest i transferred a pound between accounts and back again it went ok
Now im trying again and its coming up with an error between transfers to any of my accounts.
is anyone having problems making transfers online?0 -
Could be because its a brand new account, may take a day or so to be fully active. When I opened mine it took 48 hours for it to be fully functional, as my initial deposit disappeared for 2 days, then re-appeared, after that it was fine, so maybe give it a couple of daysDebt free and staying that way! :beer:0

have you got more than 1 pound in your classic account you won't be able transfer that 1 pound as i think a minimum balance is required to keep the account operational. i might be wrong and that shouldn't stop you transfering money to other accounts such as savings.
or perhaps the website is having problems.0 -
The switch over to LTSB systems should mean that doesn't happen anymore.Could be because its a brand new account, may take a day or so to be fully active. thanks for help, i just called them and they said yes its been accepted and i just have to fund it with a pound and that will generate the card.
Its a visa debit card, with £10 buffer. Does anyone know if it will report to the CRAs like my current account at the moment does?0 -
