DLA- Medical report from DLA

Just a quick question.
I have been reading through the stuff that was sent to me by the DWP upon request via a Data Protection Act request.
There is a medical report there from a nurse I have never met realting to my last claim. I subsequently gave up this claim following a minor breakdown brouught on not only by dpression due to being in constant pain, but also made worse by the medication I was taking (Fentanyl)
The report states that I am taking mild analgesic medication. The medication shown on the claim form was Morphine and Fentanyl.
Would this normally be recognised as a mild pain releiver?

[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.

Yes, depending on dosage they can be. However, it would be better to discuss the report with your GP, as they can refer to your dosage/ frequency of need etc.0

Fentanyl and Morphine...no one in the medical profession would ever describe the aforementioned drugs has mild pain relievers.EVER!...No matter the dosage it will never be prescribed for mild pain relief..and any dosage is always specific to the patient...10mg can be sufficient for someone opiate naive where has someone on regular dosage could need 150mg to achieve the same effect..but no matter, to describe the drugs has mild analgesics is just factually wrong. There can be no argument to the contrary..
Fentanyl is used to treat severe pain has is Morphine..NEVER would these drugs be prescribed for mild pain under any circumstances...they are schedule 2 controlled drugs and subject to strict prescribing guidelines and their usage is monitored.....there will be no descriptor found to say they are a mild pain reliever anywhere.Loyal to those deserving!!.0 -
Morphine, according to the British National Formulary is given for moderate to severe pain.
Fentanyl, again according to the BNF is given for chronic and/or severe pain.
Codeine is the opiate painkiller for mild to moderate pain.
(The BNF for those who don't know is the bumper book of medication which is used by medical professionals to help prescribe the most relevant treatment and dose. You'll probably see one on your GP's desk/shelf when you visit. It's available free online to anyone, you just have to register. https://www.bnf.org)0 -
