how can you possible claim or complain against something that is free. or is a promotion.

You seem to have a few issues with tesco right now.

what sort of question is that? (apart from the obvious (i.e. complete rubbish)) The retailer offered a deal with a £50 gift card for buying an item, the retailer is obliged, subject to the OP meeting all terms and conditions to provide said voucher.

Tesco have acknowledged the voucher should have been sent to the OP. The op is being quite patient with the retailer failing to meet the obligation.

The op will need to escalate their complaint up within tesco.

As for a few issues, indeed the OP does, this and another, oh so many... :silenced:

[STRIKE]You[/STRIKE] Tesco seem to have a few issues with [STRIKE]tesco[/STRIKE] Customer Service right now.

    FIFY.

The offer forms part of the contract. Failure to meet the terms of the offer is a breach of contract.

    Go to trading standards perhaps?

  • Yes, id write to Tesco customer services. I bought a ropey fish pie from them once and wrote and complained, they responded in about a week with an apology and a £5 voucher.

Send photo copies of your reciepts and ab printout of the offer and details of phone calls made etc..

So what do you think would happen if the OP received and used the £50 giftcard then returned the TV?

Would tesco simply forget about the giftcard saying that as it was free there is no need to return it?
The TV was advertised as coming with a giftcard and therefore is a part of the contract between the OP and Tesco.

I was going to point out to you that they could not return the TV after spending the voucher as it was part of the contract, but have just realised that you are arguing the same point.

    So I won't
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.
  • wooohooo. after nearly 2months i finally got it, came this morn, and a letter saying sorry for the mess about. should have give me £100 for my troubles,:D

    cheers:beer:
  • gud to hear you received it, as real1314 stated your contract was not complete until you received it. therefore you could have given the tv back.
