Oh, I am so glad it isn't just me. The haidresser that I've used the past three times has just not understood what I've asked her to do. The first time I asked her for a classic bob, it was dreadful, she only cut it in three layers at the back, and one at the front. The next time, I asked her again for a classic bob, but this time cut with cut with lots of layers. She cut the layers on the outside, silly moo:(. She then decided to start thinning my hair, which I did not ask for.

The last time I went to her, I asked her for a trim, and once again, the cut isn't right. The front layers aren't level, but suprisingly the layers are higher on the flatter side of my head. Once again she decided to perform a slash and burn trying to thin my hair, I've got some bits that are about 5inches long on hair that is collar bone length. Every time I blow dry my hair I want to cry, the thinned out hairs just look frizzy and coarse like gift ribbon that's been scraped with scissors iykwim, and I can't get it to look sleek without huge amounts of product and straighteners. And I paid good money for this.

Needless to say, I am now on the lookout for another hairdresser...
Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j

Gosh, you've given her enough chances.

It's so upsetting, isn't it? The young girls all want the same thing, but we all want something that actually suits us!

I use gallons of hair products too...

What's the matter with us all, paying good money for these bl**dy awful haircuts?

Has anyone complained and not paid?
  • :rotfl:Well I thought I was being really cleaver last week! Had'nt been to hairdressers in about 6 months so needed a good chop, but as we all know hairdressers always take far too much off so I asked her to only take a half an inch off.

    Guess what?

She took a half an inch off and I left with my hair still too long:cool: We just cant win, can we?

    Ha Ha!
    The revenge of the hairdresser.
By the way, was it expensive to have 1/2 and inch off?
  • Wash, cut and blow dry £22 plus a £3 tip. What can I say she deserved the tip, I got exactly what I asked for afterall!:o

I did go back to the hairdressers before this one to ask them to put a bad haircut right, which they did free of charge. The owner actually thanked me for giving them the chance to put it right. Unfortunately, that salon closed about 9 months ago, which is why I'm trying to find another one. I haven't walked out of a hairdressers with a smile on my face since:(.

    tell me about it!
With me they always shape it round the face. It looks cr*p on me, doesn't suit me at all. I'm going to have to spend the next few months growing it out before trying yet another hairdresser.

I think the trick is to try and find someone who cuts it the way you like it and then stick with them.
You've made me wonder if perhaps they're trying to cover my face rather than frame it!

    £25 =1/2 inch
Hope you got a free cup of coffee and a biscuit!
