Hi, after a little advice, I have finally had an offer through this morning from Lloyds which i am going to accept (finally!) the problem is there doesnt seem to be a timescale on the letter. It states that i dont need to let them know that i am accepting their offer, only if i dont wish to accept it and if they dont hear from me then they will be take it that the offer has been accepted and will pay the money into my account asap. There is no acceptance letter to sign and send back either.

What i find strange is that there is no time limit - it doesnt say if we dont hear from you within four weeks etc. Should i contact them (i have an email address from someone in that dept :D through chasing this). I dont want them to turn round and say theyre not paying it. I hope this makes sense but I really want this money asap!!!!!

Mine was the same, I still haven't been paid and mine was dated the 3rd Aug. Tried ringing again today, just can't get through. They told me 21 working days but last week they were still on July letters. They're so slow.
  • This isnt looking hopeful then is it - - i was hoping to use this to pay towards my sons birthday party in oct but it sounds like i'll be lucky to see it this side of christmas - mmm wonder if its worth mithering by email - i tried ringing to chase this up last week and just couldnt get through so i sent a pleasant email to the chief executive ;) and it got sorted and a letter sent out within a couple of days. At the end of the day its our money that they shouldnt have taken off us so surely we are within our rights to chase it up.

I got through this aft and they said they were on the letters sent out on Aug 5th, but still had 8500 of those left to process! Told me to to ring back if not in by Fri. I emailed a couple of days ago to customer care for the insurance but they wouldn't discuss anything in an email, data protection etc! I'm on holiday soon and was hoping I'd have it by then! I'll keep you posted if it gets paid soon!
  • I called today re my PPI decision (I've not had a decision yet) and was also told to call back on friday... However isn't friday a bank holiday???

  • Blinking 'eck that was quick!!! I'm still waiting from letter dated 25th july :mad:
Congratulations and well done on the quick payment :)
  • My letter was dated 23rd of august and after an email to them a few days ago this was the response:

refund payments are processed and received within twenty-eight working days either from the date that we received the signed and dated acceptance slip or from the date that we issued the final response.

Yet if people are waiting from their letters received in July then this deadline is well and truely gone.
