Removal of flueless gas fire?

The gas connection to this was disconnected by British Gas as it was deemed 'unsafe'

How much would it cost to have it properly removed? There is one pipe that goes into it, otherwise I might have attempted it myself.

if the gas supply has been isolated then you can remove the fire yourself.

We ripped out our gas fire ourselves but got a Gas Registered plumber to cap off the gas supply. Think it was about £50.

You are right. Just checked and the supply has been isolated and capped off.

Will remove myself!
