Very odd situation- Need Advice

Hello all,

Just need a bit of advice,

As part of my wedding celebrations I used the services of a company to assist with the flowers, decoration of venue etc

I paid for this via bank transfer, they are saying it has never been received, I have sent them conformation from my bank statement which shows it has but they are saying I should pay by card and they will refund it back if the money comes back in

What are my legal rights with regards to this? Do I have to ask my bank to put a trace on it or should they? Should I pay by card ( effectively twice ) etc

No, dont pay them again.

Check with them that they have given you the correct bank details first. Did they give you the bank detaisl over the phone
or do you have them on paper.

Get the bank to sort it out.

There is absolutely no way that you should pay again.

Get your bank to trace it - the money has left your account but it looks as though it has gone into another account.

Because it shows on your bank account, it does not prove that it has reached the flower company.

Maybe the account number / sort code number was entered incorrectly. You need to speak to your bank for confirmation of where the money is now.

I believe I read somewhere after 7 days a bank can't do anything with a bank transfer so act fast.

I think I have managed to sort something out with the company now, they are going to wait until the bank have traced it
