centre parcs - holland or others outside uk

What is the website to book this through. Does not seem to be anything on normal Centre Parcs website.

Do rices include ferry costs, or who is it best o book these through.

Does anyone reccommend any other parcs.

Looking for 4 adults and 4 children, any idea of costs?

  • As far as I am aware, this is the website you need, although I have never booked with them. You might want to compare prices saying you live in UK or Netherlands as when I did consider Centerparcs a few years' ago, I found us Brits were being quoted prices higher than other countries for the same accommodation.

I can however recommend Sunparks in Belgium, specifically the one in De Hann which is on the Belgian coast but a short drive from Bruges. We went during May school half term and it was full of Brits as the Belgians, Dutch and Germans were still in school that week.

  • How long was the journey to Belgium and who did you book travel through.

    Thanks

The journey to the nearest Sunpark from Calais is one hour, that's for Oostduinkerke park. The next nearest is De Haan park which is 2 hours from Calais. You can take 30 minutes off these times if you travel with Norfolkline to Dunkerque instead of Seafrance or P&O to Calais.

Norfolkline offer great deals, starting from £19 each way. You can be crafty and book a cheap £19 crossing to return to Dover which would be timetabled late in the evening then just turn up earlier at a more expensive time and your reservation will be amended for free and you get on the next ferry. Their ferries are approximately every 2 hours and there are never huge queues like in Calais - I work in Calais and Dunkerque so know the reality of the queues.

We booked Sunparks directly with them and at the time there was no English website so I used a dictionary and booked in Dutch, then paid them in Euros through a bank account in Holland. I'm sure it's easier now and they accept credit card payments.
