I think I'll suddenly get very old and naive if I get one of these calls.

Laptop? What's that young man?

Mobile phone? Well I can go about a yard but the curly wire won't stretch any further young man.

Internet? My wife had some fishnet stocking years ago. They were very nice, she used to wear them when we played schoolmaster and naughty schoolgirl games.

We got a call from theese people today. From what the victims have said above I think I need to prepare for an onslaught. I like the "what is a computer" defence.

you have my full sympathy. i dont know who they are but these people called me for weeks on end. i finally answered the phone and just stared laughing at them, the more they talked the more i laughed. finally when they asked what i was laughing at, i asked them if they had any idea who they were calling. they obviously didn't and only wanted to make some sort of sale...i told them they had come through to to the mortuary!!!!! cruel, i know... but they never phoned me again!!!
telling other people that they are through to the chapel of rest also cut down on the number of unwanted sales calls as i really don,t want to have to pay bt to bar them.

Get a phone which shows callers number and then you can choose if, or how, to answer! This will also show most 'selling' calls which are usually number WITHHELD so you have the option of answering (often nobody there as it's random dialling) or just ignoring the call. Alternatively try back selling and you could persuade caller they have won something BIG by calling you (for full details read Carl Hiaasen's great comic book "Nature Girl" - an absolute hoot, as are all his books!)
