Is this dress ok to wear at a wedding as a guest??

  • It is a stunning dress! Have you thought about wearing a red bolero or shrug instead of white, and having a red clutch bag, instead of sticking just with black and white? Or some nice bright jewellery...

The OP isn't wearing a bolero? I don't think you'd get a bolero on over those sleeves anyway.

  • That's odd, I could've sworn I saw mention of a shrug somewhere. I did wonder whether it would fit over the sleeves but thought OP might've found a long-wide-sleeved one somewhere.

Ignore me. I've gone insane. :o

Still think a bright red clutch would look awesome though. :D

I think it's a lovely dress and perfectly suitable, no way could I wear those shoes and stay upright though :)
My SIL wore a black leather skirt, black leather jacket and black blouse to my wedding, she looked awful tbh and everyone comments on it if they see the photos. I'm not against black for a wedding at all but it was just too much.

  • mrbadexample, can i ask why do you think it would be innapropriate? Just out of curiosity! :)

    Coz I'm a great big bloke. :p

Sorry, stumbled into the wrong thread by accident. :o
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

    Thanks for more suggestions/comments :)

Nope defo not wearing a bolero lol! the sleeves are kimono sleeve which flare out lovely so I don't need a shrug or anything.

I can see what you mean though mrsAtoBe about adding a pop of colour. I did struggle in town yesterday finding an appropriate clutch bag and jewellery.

I usually wear long necklaces, however with this dress i dont think it needs it, as its a bold print...what do you guys think?

As the sleeves are an in-between length (mid forearm) I think i might just stick with my silver charm bracelet I always wear....not sure lol! Or maybe a nice chunky cuff?? erm...
  • oh and no worries mrbadexample ;)

I thought you meant the dress was innapropriate, not that you wearing it would be appropriate :rotfl:

Oh no, you'll look great. It's just not my colour. :p

I do quite like the shoes though. :D

    I'll get my coat. :o

As long as it matches the shoes.
    :p
