Debt and Grabbit

Hi,
I have been musing on an article I read recently which showed that bargain hunting can lead to consumers making rash purchases they do not need and cannot afford just to feel they have beaten the system and bagged a bargain. At the same time I was struck by the large numbers using the grabbit and shop til you drop boards in comparison to other boards on this site. I was wondering whether those who use the site because they are in dreadful debt situations are tempted to spend further by the nature of the grabbit board. I don't know the answer - what do others think?
