Public Liability Insurance for Artists

Morning all
I want to exhibit a few of my paintings at craft fairs in the run up to Christmas. Does anyone have any recommendations for an insurance company offering a good deal for public liability insurance? More and more of the organisers of these fairs are requesting a policy before they will let you exhibit. Fair do's but I could do with a recommendation if possible to get a good deal. Many thanks, Sal

The majority are not thinking your paintings could cause injury (unless they are really different, or some twit tries to eat them), but want liability for your stand area, it's a mantra spewed out without thought by any organiser.

I'd go for an annual policy, search for tradesman's liability and see if your occupation is listed.

If you want more cover, for money collected on the day, items on display etc - go for Exhibition Insurance/Event Insurance.
