Tesco DVD / Lovefilm not in sequence

Bit of a mixed bag experience with Tesco DVD (operated by Lovefilm).

Why is it they are incapable of sending out DVDs in the right sequence? I've contacted customer services and they've told me to add and remove them from my queue and to adjust my priority settings. I've done both (not that I was doing anything wrong in the first place) and its still happening.

For example I had both the entire series of Stargate Atlantis Season 5 and Sanctuary Season 1 on my queue and received in this order:

Stargate Atlantis S5 Discs 1 - 4, Sanctuary S1 Discs 1 - 2, Stargate Atlantis S5 Disc 5, Sanctuary S1 - the rest of them

I've added Fringe Seasons 1 & 2 to my list and have received to date:

Fringe S1 D1, Fringe S2 D1, Fringe S2 D2


Arghh!:mad: It makes watching a TV series literally unwatchable.

Anyone else having the same problem?

On the positive side, they're quick to send out the next disc and very good when replacing a faulty disc thats been sent out.

    I don't think you'll ever get eveything in order unless you only have the next DVD you want in your list.

    The system defaults to sending you out the next available DVD on your list, so if you watch disc 1 and someone else has disc 2, they'll automatically send you disc 3. Is there a setting to say don't send any further discs until I've had 'this' one?

    Change your priorities so the next one you want is high and everything else is low.

    It won't ensure you get them in order, though - as Peachyprice says, it works on what they have available in the warehouse. What you've just had isn't considered.
  • I never got any of mine in sequence and the second I changed one to low priority, the whole thing was changed.

    I've set all the others on my list to low priority and left Fringe Season 1 on high so hopefully that might make some difference.

    Apart from that snag, the rest of the service has been pretty good. They even allowed me to pay a year up front at the old price rather than monthly at the newly increased rate which is what I was doing. :T

    there did used to be a way of setting it so you would get box set discs in order

    it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
    there - 'in or at that place'
    their - 'owned by them'
    they're - 'they are'
    it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)

    I only have one series/season on my list at a time. Works 100%. I know when I get sent the last disc of the season it is time to add the next :)
