Where can I buy an XP computer with warranty?

Windows 7 Pro has an XP emulator.
Vendors cannot put XP on as an Operating System (OS) so any that are around are older stock.
A user can rollback to any previous version of the OS legally and it shouldn't invalidate any warranty however if the computer was to go back to the repair centre it would probably be restored to the version of OS it came with.0 -
1. Installing a different OS should not invalidate the warranty, however it could make the machine unsupportable from the vendors perspective.
2. I think Apple Macs support XP via bootcamp.
3. Alternatively you can buy a machine running Windows 7 and then put VMware Player on it and create a second "virtual" machine (VM) in software that runs XP. I do this on a number of computers and have VMs running XP, Linux, and other environments too. I haven't tried it with audio/music software however, so it could be that it won't get the timing right.0 -
I recently bought 3 Small form factor HP reconditioned desktops from Misco.
All in good condition and work just fine.
Bashed USB port on one of them was a small issue - but they have 6 USB ports, and at £150 exc VAT for the machine, I could live with it.0 -
You have given me some great suggestions: thank you.0
