Can anyone help me with this? I had a look through and couldn't see any existing threads on the subject......
I have a website for my small business which I made in FrontPage, and is hosted by a web hosting company and it works very well.:j
I would like to put one of those "Recommend this site to a friend" links on it. I have found advice on how to build the form which seems quite straightforward, but it refers to running on a server with ASP and using CDOMail. (they might as well be talking to me in Chinese!)
Does anyone know if web hosters normally run servers with this stuff?
Can I just try it and see what happens without messing everything up??!
Any advice would be appreciated!

Most web servers (on Windows and Linux) support ASP. To see if yours does, upload the following code as test.asp and open it in your browser.
<html> <% response.write "SERVER_SOFTWARE = " + request.ServerVariables("SERVER_SOFTWARE") + "<br>" response.write "ASP_OS = " + request.ServerVariables("ASP_OS") + "<br>" response.write "ASP_VERSION = " + request.ServerVariables("ASP_VERSION") + "<br>" %> </html>You can try it without messing up your existing site. Just upload some test pages using .asp extension instead of .htm, .html etc.0
