    I think you'll be fine as long as you have a ticket to leave Canada at the end of your stay, this page says you should get a 6 month entry stamp and doesn't mention any checking done to see how you will pay for your stay.

    Bring a letter from your relatives confirming that you will be their guest; make sure you have telephone numbers for them (including mobiles); and ask them to keep their 'phones switched on around the time of your arrival.

    Requirements to enter Canada are:

    To visit Canada, you must:
    • have a valid travel document, such as a passport;
    • be in good health;
    • satisfy an immigration officer that you have ties, such as a job, home and family, that will take you back to your country of origin;
    • satisfy an immigration officer that you will leave Canada at the end of your visit; and
    • have enough money for your stay. The amount of money you will need can vary with the circumstances of the visit, how long you will stay and whether you will stay in a hotel or with friends or relatives. For more information, ask the Canadian visa office in your country or region
    from http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/index.asp
    Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end
