EGG,PPI and BANK CHARGES

Hi,
I popped a complaint questionairre to EGG. I have had a reply and they said no. The reason for this is that they say I signed up to the PPI on line and knew what I was getting into. I don't think I did and can remember phoning them at the time and one of their reps saying that in order to have the card it was advisable to take the PPI and tick the box. I have today sent £10 to EGG with a SARS request to see if they can back up their claim. Does anyone know where I stand with this, in terms of, has anyone else come across this type of rejection due to EGG stating that it was their fault for ticking the PPI box online while applying. By the way there was no mention of the bank charges I know they piled on in the rejection letter.
Appreciate any feedback anyone has.
Thank you
Badger

Hi Badger,
Thanks for reminding me that I too had a card from EGG, I will be contacting them.
I experienced the same problem from Capital One (Europe) Plc, but unlike you I did not pay them any additional money as the information I was requesting was relating to their processes I requested it under the Freedon of Information Act which they do have to comply with or I will send a complaint to the Information Commissioner.0
