i have just purchased i computer with a free vista upgrade, but i dont know how to go about getting it or who to contact etc.I Have been on the microsoft website but cannot see me computer (advent) in the list.

Advent? Was it from PC world? If so you need to register with their "Tech Guys" service and you'll get notification when the upgrade is out I think.
