Indesit Washing Machine & Timer Problems

Hi.
I have an Indesit Washer / Dryer (Model WIDL126S - bought in 2007) and recently a problem has developed which I hope someone can help me with. What happens is, for example, I start it on a 1 hour wash cycle, but hours later it's still washing. Also, other programmes seem to take less or more time than I expect them to.
Can anyone offer any advice?
