RANT - Availability of something I want to buy

I am going to be deliberately vague as I don't know if my husband 'spies' on me on here...:rotfl:

I want to buy something from Argos for my husband's big Christmas present, at the moment it is on offer and at an AMAZING price so the option of sourcing it from another retailer is not presently available.

It is not in stock for home delivery.

I have checked every store within a 50 mile radius and none of them have it in stock for reserve and collect (and yes I am prepared to travel that far to get it as I know it's something he would love!)

There is one is Stirling, Scotland (I am in Bedfordshire) so I have emailed a friend of mine in Falkirk to see if it would be feasible for her to obtain it and post it down to me.

I know it's just the way things go, and I don't expect any replies to this, just wanted to get it off my chest

It's the 30th anniversary special edition boxset of 'Are You Being Served' isn't it? They've sold out like hot cakes.

Stirling... may be worth a trip up there to get one if they have one left. :rotfl:

OP, there is a well known department store that pays my wages, rhymes with Lohn Jewis, they should match this offer price if they sell the same 'box set'?

To update, my friend is happy to collect the 'box set' tomorrow and post it out to me, it's still an absolute steal once you've factored in the tenner or so it'll cost in postage and I'm thrilled because I think hubby will be dead chuffed with it.
