Hi-Hope someone can help..I bought a car from Yes Car Credit (please dont shoot me down i was young and desparate:o) in 2002..was told i had to take all the insurances out associated with it or couldnt proceed with the application..had a relative help me out in 2004 and settled early.

Could i still make a claim for being mis-Sold PPI as Yes car credit went bust i believe and not sure if Welcome finance are still going.
I have all the paperwork for the policy.Have just printed all the forms off to make a claim but just wondered if its worth filling it in with the companies involved.

Hi there

I would give it a go, and pursue the dealer, if they come back and reject your case, its possible the business were not regulated by the FSA etc, so the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) would not be able to adjudicate/or take on the case, but they may suggest the underwriter/insurer avenue instead.

So first of all give the dealer a shot by completing the reclaim questionnaire on step 3 below, remember to keep copies as well.

Thank you for that.I've just googled yes car credit and it says they went bust in 2005..Should i now be contacted Welcome Finance ?

This is also the registed office of Direct Auto Finance Insurance Services Limited, which the FSA register shows once traded as Yes Car Credit.
