Noisy fan. Download to see if working correctly?

Hello,

I've just had a barebones system made up at my local independant computer shop. Brought it home yesterday and the fan seems really noisy. I am used to fan noise because I have a pvr which is noisy etc and I expected it to be noisy (because it's a more powerful pc than I'm use to) but this is a constant humming and vibrating that doesn't sound right. It sounds like an old fridge! Is there anything free to download that check's it's running at the right speed and temperature etc. I'm guessing it's the fan because I can't think of anything else that would make a noise in the pc. I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks
