I need help finding a new router, I'm with blueyonder. Ive got one at the moment but its a cheap one off eBay
And you have to pull the plug everyday because the net stops working otherwise...
I want one that's easy to set up, so that we play network games over it. I just cant get networking to work with this router! Any advice on good cheap ish (£30) wired routers?
Thanks in advance

Well it would be a start, one i have now was a OEM, so only got the box
Any ideas for a good wired router anybody? Got money for it right now :j0 -
I have a wireless Linksys router for my NTL connection with four wired ports and in addition I use a switch for the 2 pcs downstairs. Four machines regularly use the wired connections and occasionally i use wireless with a laptop in the garden
It's blue it routes and I reset it very occasionally0 -
How many people are going to be connecting by wire?
If it's 4 or less, I'd get the one from ebuyer above.
(edit: this will give you wireless access in the future if you need it)
If it's more than that, £30 might be a little cheap.0 -

The ebuyer router above in post #2 is not suitable, as it is for an ADSL connection!
:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
I'm with blueyonder too, I called them and said I was planning to leave as sky could offer me higher speeds for cheaper and a free wireless router, not that I had any intention of changing to sky, but a friend who worked at blue yonder said I should try this to save shelling out for a new router as mine had given up. They dropped the price to half and sent me a free wireless router. I use it wired to my desktop though as the modem is right next to my computer. Works exactly the same as a wired one. And you can turn the wireless bit off in the router page.
Might be worth a try.Sigless0
