Hi
My daughter who is a student is looking for a new laptop as her old Dell Inspiron has packed in after 3 years. She has about £350 max to spend. She will not be using it for gaming rather mainly for word documents and downloading music.
Can anyone advise of a good spec laptop on sale at the moment within her price range.
Thanks

Take a look at the dell outlet.
Some half decent laptops from about £200.
you wont need anything hight spec to do what your daughter wants to do.
The one at the top of the list if you search for 15" and sort by price would be more than adequate
for normal every day use..
Should be around £227 with vat and delivery

running very slow is easily resolved by either backing up and reinstalling from factory restore partition (10 minute job), or following the speedup sticky thread. Lid may be replaceable if cosmetics are important, along with new hinge(s) if they are broken. £20 or so and it will be like new

Thanks-this looks the job although for some reason not working but I will try Dell site.
Try the link below, 2nd in the list for the one mentioned above,
they have some with 4gb ram and 500gb hard drives for a few quid more
