BM it's your wedding. Do what you want. If you want to get married abroad then do it. If you want a quick registry office with 2 randoms off the street as witnesses, do that. It's about you and your OH and nobody else.
That being said, my best friend is getting married in Italy next year. I'm her bridesmaid and I've never been to Italy so I can't wait, but...it's so expensive for us to get there, that I'm really struggling - it's so much more expensive than a wedding in this country, because we will still need the outfits, gifts, attending their party when they're back, flights, accommodation and so on. We've worked out its going to cost well over £1k to attend their wedding and will mean that we don't get any more holidays and that some of our house repairs will have to wait. I will be there even if I have to leave now and walk there, but just bear in mind that if there are certain people you want there, they might not be able to afford it.Eu não sou uma tartaruga.
