Oyster Card

Off too london tonight for a course and completely forgot about travel from hotel to central london.

Have to pay up front so want to save the money and assumed Oyster Card was the way to go.

Haven't got one and obviously too late to get register online.

I know you can get Full or Visitor Cards, how are they different?

Can I get a full one tomorrow morning and then use it straight away (after topping up)?

How does the refund thing work? Do I get more for one card over the other?

Tried to read the tfl site but a little confused... :o

All Oyster cards are the same and are used in the same way except that with a Visitor Oyster card you can't get the admin charge back like you get the deposit back on a normal Oyster card.

If you buy one at a tube station you can use it straight away. You need to hand it back to, I think, the same station you bought it from to get your deposit returned.
Did you really mean to put loose?
Lose: no longer possess, not to retain, unable to find
Loose: not firmly or tightly fixed in place

I'm sure its any tube station for the deposit return.

Some stations even have oysters in coin operated machines
