I gather from the horrified face I maybe wasn't a good money saving expert and did not research it enough? OOPS. I take it £20 is a bit much.:(
I wasn't aware livechat was available on all websites. Never mind I did not feel it was a bad deal and I am happy with it which I suppose is the main thing.
I know to do my homework a bit better next time like the OP.
A .co.uk name costs £6.98 for 2 years. .com is around £9.99 per year.
As for the live chat system, I use this on my website -> http://www.livezilla.net/home/en/ which is freeEstate Agent, Web Designer & All Round Geek!0 -
On a professional level, yes, but then as I am VAT registered it makes little difference to me as the VAT is recoverable. So every single company you deal with are VAT registered?
I am sure some cash based businesses I deal with on a personal levels aren't but then when I buy a low value physical object by handing cash over at the till I am not overly concerned about the long term viability of the company, if they are 1000% above board etc.0 -
Have you tried taking a look at create.net - they are UK based, and their customer service is amazing. They are good value too, although not the cheapest, but I think the fact that they are so great to deal with balances that really.

I'd like to recommend vidahost, they are fantastic. They respond to support tickets in minutes.
They have c panel, one click installing etc., UK based, good prices.0 -

I've heard good things about them too, but I would say they are more suitable (and v.good value for money) for a small, simple webstore, rather than hosting.0
