When applying for BTwith Clydesdale?

Hi guys.

I have the dreaded store credit and have finally got around to doing something about it. It was a stupid purchase I made about a year ago and I'm paying for my stupidity now.

Anyway I bought a camera in Jessops and it was financed by Clydesdale Financial Services (obviously part of Barclays).

Now, when I'm entering in the details of a requested BT in my application for a card, would it go down as Clydesdale FS or Barclays?

Slightly confused by this and just want to make sure I get it correct from the off.

Presumably Clydesdale. When I BT'd the balance on my First Trust Card to HSBC I used the First Trust name instead of Allied Irish Bank - its parent company.
  • Cheers cif. That was my initial thought but then it obviously asks for a sort code and account number. Now the issue is that I have a sort code/acc number on my paperwork (not on the card as it's just a bog standard jessops thing) but that's printed next to a big Barclays symbol that's where I'm confused. I guess it's not going to make a huge amount of difference but if I can do things online rather than wasting time on the phone it would be handy.

Ironically I've spent the time typing this message...

I would list the sort code and a/c number listed and Clydesdale as the financial company. If they get back to you with a problem you can explain that Clydesdale is a subsidiary of Barclays.
  • Lets give it a go!
