hi all
looking to get a notebook? net book? for the O/H

like this one for price and bits
SAMSUNG NP-NC110-AM3UK Netbook - Red & White


Intel® Atom™ Processor N550,
Processor speed 1.5GHz.

then saw this one Samsung N145 250GB 10.1 Inch Netbook - Pink.

• Intel Atom single core N455.
• Processor speed 1.6GHz.

is 0.1Ghz going to make any difference

all other specs the same
4-1 card reader 10hrs battery
1g ram
2 usb ,web cam eth eth

€10 in the difference

Samsung is a good make, we see very few in for repair.

Go for the better processor if only £10 - main problem with nearly all netbooks is the RAM - 1gb is really too small, and with only only one RAM slot you would have to remove the existing and buy a 2gb stick (£20 for a Crucial 2gb ddr2 stick with lifetime warranty)

I would go with the NC110 as the processor is Dual Core were as the N145 is only single Core

Yes you're correct -retract what I said about the model, however the RAM isssue is the same on both...

dont think the ram we be an issue
its mostly for tv(i player) photos,face book emails eth

when you say stick is this like a usb stick or just what the ram unit is called:o:o:o:o:o

We refer to a stick of RAM, it is a small printed circuit board with RAM cips on board; most netbooks have a small panel on the underside where access can be made to where the RAM is clipped in.

Sure try it without, but I think for what you want to do it will become rather slow. Leave it for now and see how you go, when if does slow (not if) you will know what to do.
