Does anyone know when BarclayCard are going to be issuing a good balance transfer deal for existing customers. The 2.9% deal is long gone and I have had to accept 5.9% for life but would do a loophole trick if anything else is in the mist. (Cant apply for new card as poor credit history)

Barclaycard aren't known for offering deals to existing customers. I'd get shot of the card if you can and transfer to a 0% deal. Do you bank with barclays? If not maybe your current account provider would offer you a Credit Card. If you do bank with Barclays I'd change banks - swiftly!0

Ta,
No I bank with A + L and RBOS.
I cant get another 0% deal and from what I recall Barclaycard are quite good with existing customer deals....you just need to ring and ask to see whats available for example why transfer to Texaco with 3.9% for life when Barclaycard were doing 2.9% for life or why move to Tesco for 5.9% for life when Barclaycard are already doing that.0 -
Erm, because Barclaycard charge a fee for transfers, don't they?0

It's true barclaycard do 2.9% deals from time to time and it would be good if you can get one esp if for life of balance. They're not in my opinion very customer friendly bank. A look at their profits show they don't give much way. Have you approached the A&L? I think they may be more forgiving than RBOS.
Hope you get a deal, maybe someone else can throw more light on deals that are about to become available...0 -
Everyone will soon charge a fee. For Example Egg and Abbey are in a bad way profits wise so I am sure they will be joining the band wagon fairly shortly.0

When I contacted Barclaycard to ask about balance transfer offers (a customer of 8 years) I was told to 'look on the website...'
Cheers. The above facts belong to everybody; the opinions belong to me; the distinction is yours to draw...0
