Hi everyone
i am meeting a friend in london on sunday 16th october.
We'd like to do some sight seeing maybe see a show.
I might also go the day before and meet another friend & stay the night
Where are the best places to look for cheapish rooms (i'll be alone) and theatre tickets
i will be going by train so thinking of using 2for1 for kew gardens & dungeons. also would like to go on the london eye

Londontheatreboxoffice do tickets or ticketmaster and for hotels i would rather you stayed somewhere thats central and easy to get to and find late at night than have trouble in finding your bearings (male or female)Have you though of Charing Cross Hotel . Reasonable good location easy to locate and in the middle of most places you want to see.http://www.guoman.com/en/hotels/united_kingdom/london/charing_cross/index.html:cool: hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0

lastminute.com is fairly good for theatre tickets. I'm currently thinking of getting tickets for Wicked at £15. Yes, they're the 7th price seats, but I'll still be able to see!0

There are various other threads about the basic Travelodges etc.
For something a bit diffrent, I've stayed here a few times:

Very central if coming into Euston. In Bedford Place off Russell Square - felt fine walking back alone very late after an event.
Singles: from £64 (Budget room = not en-suite and up three flights of stairs) to £90.
Quaker-related, so not rowdy!0 -
I've just booked a room for me and my son at the Travelodge in Covent Garden for £45 - can't get much more central and it seemed a blimmin good price to me!xxx Nikki xxx0
