Car insurance comparison sites

Are there any which let you specify European cover, and which let you specify the total excess you want, not the voluntary?

I've used 3 and they all ask you what voluntary excess you want, but because all the complusory excess are different you get a very misleading comparison. The top quote becomes about the 10th when you compare with the same excesses as the others.

Also they don't tell you whether Europe cover is included, you have to go half way through the process with the insurer itself to get the answer. Some say on the front page of the insurer's site that Europe cover is included but when looking at the policy document find this is just for 3 days!! Who goes to Europe for just 3 days?? Other than booze cruisers...
