Booking holidays- Make sure you clear your browser cache or you will get charged more

Hello this is just a note to warn people of something that I later realised happened to me when booking a holiday online. I was looking for flights to my desired destination and noticed that every time I checked back to the previous website, the price had gone up by £10-20. I figured out that my visits had been logged in my computer's history which the tour operating site then takes advantage of by thinking it will spur you on to act quicker, if you see that every time you check back the price has gone up.
So, be it a tour operator, or flights, or whatever, when you start looking make sure everytime you visit a website that you clear you browser history.
Just a word of warning! Otherwise, you stand to pay far more than you should be!

We've had this happen to us when booking a package holiday. During the booking process, it had gone up by over £150 per person. We logged onto another computer and the price went down to the original price. Managed to book it for that. Went back to the other computer, cleaned the history, cookies, etc., and the price went down again...0

The simplest solution is to set your computer to automatically clear all cookies and search history each time you log off.0

It's not only the 'normal' cookies you need to remove. You also need to remove the Flash (LSO) cookies as well.
CCleaner will do that for you.0 -
Also read the other thread that Blindman linked to, very interesting! and has got me wondering now lol!£100 - £10,0000

if it's true I bet the ryanair website is dizzy because of the number of times I'm on it looking at prices. not sure I go along with the thinking on lowcost flight only websites but hope to be proved wrong.0
