I bought a cheap £5 ebay one for my husband and his ipod. wasnt sucessful but that was mainly beacuse of the car radio. I had a choice of 4 channels and they were all around the 88.3 fm mark. the radio couldnt be tuned into channels which were not a radio station but somehow somone managed to tune it into a weak station on 88.9 but it wouldnt work when the engine was switched on. In the end I bought one from dixons for £20 which can be tuned into any channel and on the same channel as the other one the signal was perfect.

On the subject of the £5 Ebay 4 channel ones - I bought one for my Focus and it was no good at all - I do have a tape deck and the quality through a Cassette adaptor was far superior. Consistently got interference, poor quality sound.

Reiterating a previous poster, what do you get for more costly versions of the transmitters, since my wife's car has got a CD deck and it seems like a good present?
