Tax credits question, confused. read on

I found I could be entitled to working tax credits due to the illness I have. I am under 25 but may meet the disadvantage criteria. Now my question is.
It states that you must have a disadvantage of getting a job or be in receipt of DLA. How can you prove you would be at a disadvantage if your not in receit of DLA?
Circumstances are,
19 years old, got anxiety and depression. Sometimes jobs are a disadvantage for me because of the depression, anxiety would be but is controlled by medication.
Should I apply?

In my experience you can't........ you can only get tax credits for under 25 and 'disabled' if you're in receipt of some award of DLA. The good news is that if you applied and were awarded DLA you can apply for tax credits on the above basis and they'd be awarded from the start of the DLA award. So first thing is to apply for DLA with plenty of supporting evidence.... maybe seek further advice/help from a specialist benefits adviser for this? Good luck.0

Can I get DLA if I am working. I did apply for DLA before but got turned down. The only thing I sent in was the application form0 -
Given you have a job lined up and perhaps a second one plus have enough excess income to save towards buying a house abroad, i doubt you'll convince then that you are "disadvantaged" in any way.0

Disadvantage is that this wouldn;'t be possible if I didn't take medication0 -

So by that reasoning anyone on medication should be able to get it?0 -
Hardly seems fair how I have anxiety and depression and take 6-7 pills a day to control this, working possibly 2 jobs and can get nothing. Yet some people lie about being ill and get everything on a plate0

if your working 2 jobs you have 2 wages, hardly nothing.
and if your managing to work 2 jobs one would question how bad your condition really is considering some people with similar conditions struggle to get dressed or get up in the morning...0 -

which as I stated, would be me if I didn't take medication0 -

you make little sense, you take your medication so you can function as a person, if it's working and makes you feel better why shouldn't you earn your own living?
I think many people wouldn't be able to work without taking their medication.0
