Monday 19th Sept - What small DFW things will you be doing?!
Tebheag
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D
GoodMorning Everyone the start of a new week and another week of hopefully saving money. I have decided I am going to try and do at least ten things a day !!!
1. Check bank against my monthly spreadsheet Done
2. See if there are any surveys to do Done
3. Do some work
4. Walk the dog locally
5. Do meal planner for the week
6. Tidy up the house
7. take son to nursery and daughter to playgroup
8.If nice wash kids bedding to dark to decide at mo
9. Sort out kids clothes and store summer things away
10. Call office try and sort out when to take jobs down.
Hope you all have a great day

Morning Gang,

Today and yesterday I have/will:
• Checked online banking – no change
• Meals from storecupboard
• Check on my amazon sale – I need the money ASAP
• LSD – Bought some rolls and filling as I ran out of time this morning
• Read freebie paper on the train
• Used railpass to get to work
• Checked quidco – no change
• Read newspapers online
• Reading a library book when I have spare time (confessions of a shopaholic – I’ve seen the film loads of times, but never read the book......have to chuckle when I think of myself in her situation ie shaking when opening envelopes etc)
• Need to charge up mobile at work
• Take vits and meds to control hormones
• Update food diary
• Drink plenty of water
• Need to keep an eye out for MS jobs and surveys
• Catch up on this thread from the weekend
• Phone up and cancel my doc’s appointment as no longer needed
• Phone up and cancel blood donation today as I’ve not been 100% recently
• Email boss and request that I leave at 4:25 Tuesday and Wednesday’s as I am at college these days and it should give me enough time to get the 4:30 bus so I get home at a reasonable hour
Think that is about all, have a great day and sparkle!

Morning everyone

Tebheag- thanks for starting us
DNMS- hope work ok
My list for today:- 3 loads of washing out to line dry- starting to look grey hope it doesn't rain
- check banking/emails/quidco
- car share to work
- all meals from stores
- drink free water at work
- do my bedroom tonight didn't get round to it last night
- sort out budget
- arguing with myself about whether to pay balance of NY trip still about £450 short- payment linked to my credit card- bill just in so I would have a month to find the £450 if I pay it just now. I'm thinking I'm more likely to find the money if I do that if I don't more likely to dip into the money I've put away
and I would find it as I refuse to pay any interest on the card they have had a fortune off me over the years. I only keep using it because it's a moneyback card.

Made a beef and ale stew last night, so that's slow cooking at the moment
Got myself a cashback AMEX for petrol and food shops- need to check the date payments go out so I pay it in full and don't have to pay that pesky interest.
Other than that, week 5 of couch to 5k this today.
