Need advice please , need new laptop

I would be grateful for some advice. We need a new laptop and I want to be able to use the internet without wires. Basically only use the laptop for internet and some word processing and of course spreadsheets for money saving purposes! Can anyone suggest a laptop to get around £500 and what else do i need to buy to make it wireless. Sorry to sound so thick but i really need some help. Thanks in advance.
