santander esaver interest rates

Options
Hi. Just looking at my esaver which I opened up with Santander last March and cant see if its esaver 2, 3 or what. Saw an advert for esaver 4 which I assume has just been released and wondered if esaver 2 or 3 interest rates are different from esaver 4.
So would like to know what the interest rates are, at the moment for esaver 2 and esaver 3 so I can decide whether to open a esaver 4 and transfer my money to that or should I stay with esaver 2 or 3 (or whatever it is, wish the santander site would tell me lol).

TIA.

  • The interest rates for all issue numbers are on their website.

Maybe you can ascertain the issue number from the 'effective from' dates given?

    Thanks YorkshireBoy .
Looks like I need to find out the interest rate for esaver 2 which at the moment I cant find on the website but at least I know it is not esaver 3 I have.
And also need to keep an eye on the santander website more regularly for new issues :o

Anyone good at maths. If one has £40,200 and getting £80 a months interest. What is the gross AER .

    TIA

Edit: Just as well I didnt take out esaver 3 as it looks like you cant do online banking with that issue

    From their homepage...

    Click 'savings & investments'
    Click 'savings interest rates'

    OK so far? ;)

    See the bit that says...

"Click here to view interest rates for accounts no longer available" (you want page 6 of 13)
but at least I know it is not esaver 3 I have.
It looks like that's what you do have. See below...
If one has £40,200 and getting £80 a months interest. What is the gross AER .
    £40,200 x 2.96% / 365 x 31 x 0.8 = £80.85

    Where:

    1. 2.96% is the gross p.a. rate for a 3% AER paying account, and
    2. 0.8 is the basic rate tax multiplier (i assume you're a taxpayer?)
