Sold an item on ebay, buyer pays, but the payment email from paypal looked different. I have checked my paypal account, and they have indeed made payment, but it looks like they have just sent the payment through paypal, and not via ebay.
Problem is the email sent by ebay has a different postal address to the email sent from paypal (if that makes sense). So which address do I post to?
Oh, just to add, this isnt a high value item, only about a tenner, and not a commonly problematic item.

If you want full seller protection on paypal then you can only use the paypal address. If buyer wants it sent elswehere then you need to accept the risk of losing your seller protection.

This question comes up quite a bit so there is an explanation here that you might find useful:

Cheers Soolin, thats what I though, I was just a bit taken aback with their odd way of paying. Instead of it saying the item number and notification of payment received, it just said notification of payment received. Yet it still seperated item cost and postage in the payment breakdown. Dont understand why they have paid like this, most odd.

occasionally paypal seem to send a different sort of notification, no idea why- I get about one in every 30-40 payments I receive in that odd format.

i think it's when they have no paypal account. Contact the buyer, as the conflicting address thing happens often. It's usually the paypal one which is up to date, especially in a case like this where it's a one off payment.
