Why is it taking so long to download to my iPad?

I downloaded from iTunes tonight a TV series......only it has been going for over two hours and I still dont't have a whole episode.


Am I expecting too much?

I have along flight tomorrow and this was my plan A for being entertained.

Are you downloading direct to the iPad from iTunes, or syncing it from iTunes on a computer? Are you downloading over wifi or 3G? How fast is your Internet connection? How fast is your wifi connection?

From iTunes to iPad on wifi.

Our Internet connection is slow as we live in a rural area.


I still do not have a whole episode and you can see the time it is now. Taxi is due in half an hour so plan A gives way to Plan B and I buy a book at the Airport.

Tips on how I get the down load when I get back welcome.

If you buy it on the iPad it will take a lot longer then if you buy it on your computer and then put it on.
