What are you all doing for your honeymoon? We wont have much money (if any!) so just wondering what other MSE brides are doing.

We are just gonna stay in a nice hotel on our wedding night as we cant afford a honeymoon. Tbh a nice holiday with my OH would be lovely but im not really bothered about a honeymoon, marrying my soulmate is all i care about :-)0

We will be going away, but staying in Europe - probably somewhere in the Med. We'll just shop around for flights and accommodation.
If you have a very small budget then you could stay in the UK, or even in your home and see your own local area as a tourist would by going on day trips etc. Or you could risk it and try to get a last minute deal if you're open minded about where you go. Quite a few people have a 'mini-moon' for a few days, either staying in a B&B/hotel or relaxing at home, and save up for a longer trip a few months later, or for their 1st Anniversary.
Have you thought of asking for donations to your Honeymoon fund in lieu of a gift list? There are ways of doing this without people worrying that the money will disappear into a black hole - getting people to choose from options such as buying you a meal or a specific day out, for instance. My H2B and I are thinking of doing this. Marrying my lovely man on 1st September 2012 Marrying my lovely man on 1st September 2012

            We are going to go away to Asia/Africa for about a month - flights will be dear but we are not flashy types so we will go off the beaten track, and have a very cheap and fun honeymoon!!!7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs 14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs 14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs 21 Feb: 10st4lbs * 1 March: 10st2.5lbs :j13 March: 10st3lbs (post-holiday) 21 Feb: 10st4lbs * 1 March: 10st2.5lbs :j13 March: 10st3lbs (post-holiday) 30 March: 10st1.5lbs 30 March: 10st1.5lbs 4 April: 10st0.75lbs * 6 April: 9st13.5 lbs 4 April: 10st0.75lbs * 6 April: 9st13.5 lbs 27 April 9st12.5lbs * 16 May 9st12lbs * 11 June 9st11lbs * 15 June 9st9.5lbs * 20 June 9st8.5lbs 27 April 9st12.5lbs * 16 May 9st12lbs * 11 June 9st11lbs * 15 June 9st9.5lbs * 20 June 9st8.5lbs 27 June 9st8lbs * 1 July 9st7lbs * 7 July 9st6.5lbs 27 June 9st8lbs * 1 July 9st7lbs * 7 July 9st6.5lbs 0 0

We're using airmiles to totally pay for a week in Malta. But our dream was a med cruise so we're asking for Thomas Cook vouchers and will use them to go away next spring0

We did three weeks in Florida (Cocoa beach, orlando, clearwater) followed by a week in NYC. Had the most fantastic time. Not overly MSE though, sadly... (although we got everything for the very best price going ) 0 ) 0

We plan to go abroad somewhere hot...so that obviosuly means that there are a lot of places to choose from!! I would be happy with somewhere like Cyprus or Greece.
Are there companies out there that specialise in Honeymoons? or would it be better to go to somewhere like Thomas Cook? Of course we could book things ourselves, but I'm not too sure about that.Getting married to a wonderful lady on August 10, 2012.
Need to save up, lose weight, reduce my money worries and get back to being the real me! :j0

There are specialist companies - but they'll cost more.
If you just want a regular package virgin, thomas cook etc are a decent bet - but if you want anything slightly non-standard I've found that booking everything individually is the way to go - and doable with a little organisation...0
