Search tool needs tweaking

When I search for "NTL", it says:

Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.

The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search: NTL

This seems a bit daft. I can see why it would be necessary to exclude words like "and", "to", and "the". But I can't see any sensible reason to block a search for "NTL", as I don't believe there would be that many matches.

Another example is "egg". The problem is that if you specifically want threads that mention egg or NTL, without having to wade through other credit cards or cable providers, there's no other search string that is going to do it.

Any chance of changing the search algorithm?

Having a smaller minimum word length makes the search index - and thus the database - bigger

You can search for three letter words by adding a wildcard (*) to the end:

e.g

search for -

ntl*

egg*

koru
